 Filter Presses Technical features

The filter presses Vicentini are produced in 7 basic models and are used in ceramic and chemical industry as well as for water conditioning.
The funtioning of this machines is based on the filtering capacity of suitable cloths, through which the liquid to be filtered is pushed with a pressure of 16-20 bar.
Every cloth covers a squared tray polypropylene.
All trays are supported by two steel spar that are the bearing frame of the filter press.
During closing phase of the machine, the trays are pushed by a mobile head that moves them until they are fully compact thanks to the pressure given by a hydraulic piston commanded by a hydraulic power pack: therefore there is a uniform closing push on the whole range of trays.
This push guarantees that for whole filtering cycle the right temperature is kept.
The opening of the whole series of trays is automatically carried out at the end of the cycle.
Models FPP 250 and 400 are equipped with round trays in cast iron; in these models the opening of the trays is carried out manually.
The filter presses are fed by diaphrgm pumps and/or plunger piston pumps that Vicentini manufactures in a wide range of models.
